Conversely, when your brain senses an adequate or high vitamin D level, the brain triggers hormones that will prevent the growth and maturation of fat cells. Thus, even though researchers are still studying more regarding the correlation between vitamin D and weight-loss, it can be concluded that vitamin D does play a role in weight-loss.
So, how can you make sure you are obtaining and maintaining your vitamin D levels in the optimal range? One of the easiest ways is to get more sun exposure. Another method is to consume fatty fishes and foods that have been fortified with vitamin D. Alternatively or additionally, you can also take a vitamin D supplement.
