Desiree Garrido is a CTI professionally trained coach and an NCEP certified holistic personal trainer through the National Board of Fitness Examiners and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication from San Jose State University. She is a lifelong athlete, dancer & wellness professional and knows first-hand what it takes physically and mentally to push through the challenges that life brings. Being born with the systemic inflammatory condition, psoriasis (the nation’s #1 auto-immune disease) she integrates the optimization of mind, body and spirit practices to achieve vibrant health and an increased quality of life.
When it comes to health (be it weight loss, bodybuilding, endurance training or injury rehabilitation, etc) she begins from the ground up and believes in empowering every client with education, motivation and healthy habit-formation.
She has given lectures and workshops at Body Evolution Newark, All in One Fitness Albany, Cornerstone International College, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, UCSF. Desiree has also appeared as an expert on panels hosted by National Psoriasis Foundation, UCSF and Stanford Medical Center. She was also a featured guest on NBC Bay Area’s Asian Pacific America highlighting the benefits and impact of coaching.
