Making low-carb pizza crust usually involves using cauliflower.
But this version is cauliflower free and has nutritionally rich chia seeds for some extra density.
Top it with your favorite proteins and veggies and you can bring back pizza night – the low-carb way!
1 bag shirataki noodles
2 egg whites
1 tbsp ground chia seeds
1 tsp of each: oregano, basil, salt, garlic powder (or any spices you like)
1 tbs low-fat mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Follow the directions on the shirataki noodle package for rinsing and drying the noodles. In blender or magic bullet, pulse egg whites until frothy. Add the drained and dried shiratki noodles and spices. Blend until noodles are chopped up and everything is blended together. Mix in the ground chia seeds and mozzarella cheese. Spread mixture out onto parchment paper into a thin crust (thinner the better). Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and top with desired toppings. Place back in oven for 5-10 minutes.
Top with veggies, sauce and cheese, if desired (just watch your carbs and calories there!)
